Summer 2018 Anime

Summer 2018 brought six major anime releases across action, comedy and supernatural genres. Attack on Titan Season 3 returned with its continuation of the Survey Corps' darkening saga, while Grand Blue Dreaming offered a lighter counterpoint with its comedy about university life and diving culture. My Hero Academia: Two Heroes hit screens as a theatrical film that same season, expanding the superhero academy story beyond the TV series.

The season also delivered genre variety through How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord, a fantasy comedy about an overpowered protagonist transported to another world, and Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Springs, a supernatural romance centered on a haunted bathhouse. Gintama.: Silver Soul Arc - Second Half War continued the long-running action-comedy series with its ongoing war narrative.
