THE ONE PIECE
What is THE ONE PIECE?
THE ONE PIECE is an upcoming adventure anime that will mark a milestone moment for the long-running series. Produced by WIT Studio, this new adaptation will retell the story of One Piece from its beginning in the East Blue arc as part of the franchise's 25th anniversary celebration. The series is scheduled to premiere in February 2027 and will consist of seven episodes total.
This fresh take on the classic manga's opening saga offers an opportunity for both longtime fans and newcomers to experience the story of Luffy and his journey toward becoming King of the Pirates with a modern animation studio's approach. Rather than continuing where the main anime left off, THE ONE PIECE returns to the narrative's roots, providing a chance to revisit familiar characters and events with renewed visual storytelling.
The anime will air during the winter 2027 season. As a limited series of seven episodes rather than an extended run, it represents a focused commemorative project rather than a full replacement for the ongoing One Piece anime. Fans anticipating this release can expect it to arrive on Netflix.
