Reincarnated as a Dragon Hatchling

Reincarnated as a Dragon Hatchling is a twelve-episode fantasy anime that puts a literal spin on the isekai reincarnation premise. Instead of arriving in another world with cheat abilities or a powerful body, the protagonist must literally break out of a dragon egg before facing the challenges of a dark forest as a vulnerable hatchling. This series combines action and adventure with a stripped-down take on the genre's familiar tropes, requiring the main character to grow from weakness into genuine strength rather than relying on instant power.

The series finished airing during the winter season of 2026, completing its run as a full-length TV series. Those seeking isekai stories with a more grounded progression system or anyone interested in dragon-focused narratives will find the premise refreshingly different from typical genre entries. The early-game vulnerability and survival focus set it apart from reincarnation tales where protagonists begin their journey already formidable.
