What is Star Wars: Visions Presents - The Ninth Jedi?
Star Wars: Visions Presents - The Ninth Jedi is an eight-episode anime limited series that expands the acclaimed Visions anthology into longer storytelling format. Released as an ONA during summer 2026, the series follows Lah Kara as she deepens her Jedi training under Margrave Juro, building on events from the original Visions shorts. This action-packed sci-fi adventure combines the signature anime aesthetic of Visions with an extended narrative arc, allowing for character development and world-building impossible in shorter form.
The series centers on Lah Kara's personal journey alongside Juro's fellowship of Jedi-in-training as they undertake a quest with personal stakes—saving her father. Unlike episodic anthology entries, this eight-episode run creates a cohesive narrative that deepens both the protagonist's connection to the Force and her relationships within the group. The Visions Presents banner represents Lucasfilm's commitment to giving anime creators room to develop Star Wars stories across multiple episodes rather than individual shorts.
The show finished its run in August 2026 and is complete, making the full story immediately available to viewers discovering it now.
The 8-episode limited anime series is part of an all-new Star Wars: Visions Presents banner, which allows filmmakers to tell longer-form Star Wars: Visions stories. Picking up not long after the events of the Visions shorts, in the new series, Lah Kara continues to train in the ways of the Jedi under Margrave Juro amid an epic journey of self-discovery as she and Juro’s small fellowship of Jedi-in-training embark on a quest to save her father.
