What is From Far Away?
From Far Away is a fantasy romance series following an ordinary high school student named Noriko who is suddenly transported to a magical world. There she meets Izark, a seemingly heroic companion whose true nature harbors a terrifying darkness that only Noriko has the power to unleash, according to ancient prophecy. The series blends adventure and romance as these two unlikely allies must survive together in a dangerous realm neither fully understands. The show began airing in fall 2026 and is currently releasing new episodes weekly. Viewers drawn to fantasy worlds with romantic tension, complex character dynamics, and high-stakes consequences will find plenty to engage with here. The premise hinges on the central tension between Noriko and Izark's forced partnership and the looming threat of what could happen if Noriko's latent power is awakened. Each episode builds on their journey through a hostile yet wondrous landscape, exploring both the external dangers they face and the internal conflict between trust and fear that defines their relationship.
On her way home from school one day, Noriko is unexpectedly plunged into a strange and extraordinary fantasy world. Her troubles compound exponentially when she is rescued and befriended by a handsome young man by the name of Izark. He may be brave and courageous, but inside Izark lurks the darkest evil imaginable. And according to an ancient prophecy, Noriko possesses the power to unleash that evil. Now, inexorably bound together, these two unlikely allies must navigate a world both wondrous and hostile. (Source: VIZ Media)
