JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (TV) is the first television adaptation of Hirohiko Araki's manga, and it covers the two earliest parts of a story that spans generations. It opens in nineteenth century England with Jonathan Joestar and Dio Brando, two boys raised under the same roof who could not be less alike, and the rivalry that starts there outlives both of them.

This run is 26 episodes and has finished airing. The first stretch is a gothic horror story about vampirism and inherited grudges; the second shifts register entirely into a pulpier adventure with a very different lead. Viewers who bounce off the earlier episodes are often told to hold on until that switch.

The series is where the franchise establishes its habits: stylised colour, narrated fight logic, and combat resolved by rules rather than raw strength.
