What is Uncle from Another World?
Uncle from Another World begins when Takafumi's uncle wakes from a seventeen-year coma insisting he spent that time in a fantasy world. He is not lying, and he can still use the magic, but he is also a man who missed two decades of ordinary life and cares more about a defunct games console than about the powers he brought back with him.
The series runs 13 episodes and has finished airing. Its structure is unusual for the genre: rather than following the adventure directly, it replays the uncle's memories as flashbacks while he and his nephew argue about them from a cramped apartment.
