FOXING: Kitsuné-tsuki

FOXING: Kitsuné-tsuki is a fantasy film releasing on July 19, 2026. The story follows Shinano, a character designer struggling with isolation and the gap between her personal creative vision and the commercial demands of her work. When a fox-masked character from her old sketches materializes alongside other forgotten creations, the boundary between her inner world and reality fractures, inviting both her and viewers into a surreal exploration of artistic identity.

The film examines loneliness through the lens of a creator grappling with how her work gets absorbed into systems beyond her control, and how the characters she imagines can represent fragmented parts of herself. Rather than resolving her isolation, the narrative culminates in Shinano's decision to embrace creative expression while accepting that loneliness itself may be inseparable from who she is.

This single-film release suits viewers drawn to introspective fantasy that blends psychological themes with visual storytelling. Those interested in narratives about creative struggle, mental landscapes, and the relationship between an artist and their work will find resonance here.
